Nova Scotia Power
Coastal Woodlands has worked with NSP for the last 9 years providing vegetation management and land clearing services on 14 river systems in Nova Scotia. Coastal Woodlands managed all the trees and vegetation located throughout the dam system under NSP Dam safety program.
Department of National Defence
Coastal Woodlands has work as the exclusive contractor for tree and brush services for the Department of National Defence 2017-2020. In 2018, Coastal Woodlands created new fire breaks through Canadian Forces Base Bedford.
Parks Canada
Coastal Woodlands provides services for tree related work on Parks Canada land. After the 2013 Spryfield fire, Coastal Woodlands completed a fire smart program at York Redoubt National Park.
Point Pleasant Park
After Hurricane Juan destroyed Point Pleasant Park in 2006, Coastal Woodlands was contracted to plant 100,000 native seedlings in the park. A few years later, we were contracted to do a full park thinning of young vegetation and removal of non-native species.
Halifax Regional Municipality
Coastal Woodlands has worked with HRM for the past 12 years grinding stumps throughout HRM. Coastal Woodlands ground and landscaped hundreds of stumps throughout the peninsula on extremely busy streets. Public safety is always a top priority when in busy urban settings.
